Installed factory CodeAlarm VSS/RKE/RS in '03 6.0 diesel F250 SuperDuty.  Security works perfectly, remote start does not work .  relays activate, but ignition does not come on.   Tach learning mode works; hood switch checks fine.  I utilized factory install wiring diagram and confirmed all connections in ignition wiring harness with voltmeter except pink lead from system which is supposed to be connected to the ignition; wiring code shows connecting to RED / light green in harness; only RED / light green is small gauge wire above screw-in ignition harness coming from "capacitor looking device".  When connected here I can manually start, but remote start doen't work.

Does the Ford F250 come with a STRATEC key ? Just curious is the model comes with the E-PATS system or not ?

There are conflicting information about the IGN wires from several different sources about wether or not you need to hook up 2 IGN wires or not. Did you hook up 2 or just one IGN wire ?

have just tried hooking up one so far - is the small gauge wire legitimate? - if so why is sytem wire significantly bigger gauge - how do you determine ignition wire status

Utilized diagram from Ford Install CD updated 12/2002 - also checked updates and tech service bulletins for all known problems - what is weid to me is it sounds like waste gate (or whatever) on engine opens etc. as part of normal start procedure, but no igniton response at dash or starter response

Did you check the output of the IGN wires from the RS unt to see if there is actual voltage coming off wire when remote starterd ?

Just wanted to let everyone know that the problem was indeed just the ignition wire connection from the system.  Ford/CodeAlarm showed ignition 1 as RED / green for 2003 F250.  All other furnished information from posting reflected Ignition 1 as RED / black or blue/green.  Ignition 1 on my 2003 F250 6.0 diesel was yellow/white.  After determination/connection to actual Ignition 1 and diagnosing blown fuse in ignition circuit of rs system due to previous misconnect everything worked fine.  Thanks for everyone's inputs and help!!

In retrospect, I wish I had used Clifford RS II instead of relying on factory system for ease? of install.
