remote start autopage rs900

hello fellas I have an autopage rs900 my problem is that when I turn the car on via the remote it turns on then a couple seconds later the car turns off by itself then turns back on by itself does this three times I believe and on the last one just turns off and stays off. Unless when i start it I put the key in then it stays on. what or where is my problem? thank you in advance.

Refer to the the shutdown diagnostics on pages 30/31.  This should indicate why the unit is shutting down. 

Based on the symptoms you describe, I would guess tach is not programmed, or the tach wire was disconnected (perhaps inadvertantly by a mechanic?).
