Hey all!
I had an basic 1 way Compustar system (CM3000) and just upgraded to an CM5000. But having some troubles i have an 91 Acura Integra. Basically i took off 1 wire at a time from the old alarm harness and soldered on the new wires. I am able to lock and unlock, and arm the vehicle, but some reason my siren is not chirping (i am using my old siren, i believe it should still work with my new system?) It is not in valet mode and the siren is not muted. I have checked this many times. I probed my wire with an test light when the vehicle alarm is going off and i got no power coming from the wire for some odd reason. There is a good ground. What could cause such a problem? Also i have remote start and this is not functioning. I have tried to get the compustar module to learn the tach but im unable to hear the chirps, due to the siren problem but am able to see the lights blink. but im thinking it could be a bad connection? i replaced that connection yesterday possibly look in to it again tmr. But there could be extra wires im missing due to this new brain having many more options?
Hope i have enough info! thanks in advance

if you traced back all your wires, you should be fine.

probe the brown wire of the 18 pin harness and make sure its working.

this may sound dumb, but you might have the 18pin harness connected into the 20pin ADS cartridge connector.

i have a feeling you connected it in the wrong port. I have done it before as well. check that first.
