Hey,
I am trying to install a Commando EZ-2500 remote starter in a 2006 Chevy Silverado Z-71 but I am having a terrible time. I have installed this same remote starter on another vehicle, and it was a breeze. I can not for the life of me locate the BCM (body control module) If anyone could please maybe show me a picture of what this looks like or maybe give me some details on what it looks like, that would be nice. I have looked in the wiring database and It only gives little information about this. Please help me. Thanks in advance!
Thanks,
Johnathan

i just did am 06 silverado and the bcm was right behind the plastic knee panel below the steering column/wheel.  there may be a metal shroud you need to remove to gain better acces.  there should be 3 or 4 plugs facing you when you see it and if you look up from underneath there might be a purple plug all alone on the bottom of it

Thank you. I think I found it.. also I was wondering, do you have to have a bypass GMDL-BP for the locks? Cuz it doesn't have an alarm on it so I was wondering why the manual says its required
