I am installing a Crimestopper 900V remote starter into a 97 Jeep Grand Cherokee, and have everything working fine except the door locks.

After working on it for several hours, I came here and found out that door locks aren't that simple on these Cherokees, so I punted and got a DEI 455T to interface to the interface bus.

My problem now is that the doors lock fine, but unlocking doesn't work at all.

I hooked it up as follows:

(-) Trunk Unlock (0.75 sec pulse) from the remote start to the (-) Unlock all (Blue) on the 455T.

(-) Door Unlock (0.75 sec pulse) from the remote start to the (-) Driver Unlock (Blue/White) on the 455T

Lock works as expected, but pressing the Door Unlock button on the remote starter's remote causes the doors to lock, then unlock, then lock again. I have tried to open the door when it's doing this, but can't seem to catch it in time.

Has anyone seen this behavior before?

Just a quick question... why are you using the TRUNK channel as your unlock wire ?
