This site is the single best resource I have found for the DIY installer. Your best bet would be to do as much reading as you can, then read some more...read up on the bypass modules that are out there, read up on how to do multiplex interfacing, read up on everything you can find. If you feel that the diagrams and wiring charts make sense to you and you are comfortable with soldering and using a DMM then go for it. The people on this site keep proving time and time again that they are more than willing to help.
Keep in mind, that if you install a Viper system yourself you get no warranty whatsoever from DEI. Also note that if you damage something in your truck the dealership will not want to fix it for free.
Installer, IT support, and FFL. I need less hobbies.
