I recently had 3 viper 5701 systems installed.  I bought an extra 2 way remote, so now I have 4 altogether, in addition to the 3 1 way remotes.

What I am trying to do is program each of the 4 remotes (2 way) to control our "third" car on the second car setting.  On one remote, I am able to access the 2nd car function by holding the function key for 3 seconds and then selecting the 2nd car.  On the remaining 3 remotes, I am not able to access the 2nd car function.  I can hold it and I never get the choice for which car to control.  I only get the programming mode after 12 seconds.

Has anybody ever seen this?  Any method to recover this function?  I've asked my installer but he is not aware of this problem.  Viper is closed for the next 3 days.

Thanks

Bill

On those three remotes, is it possible that the LED is not functioning?  I have a two way remote that I have to put it next to my ear to hear the beep for vehicle ONE, and then I can change it to vehicle TWO. The LED lights up for vehicle TWO.   Might be odd that you have three remotes doing the same thing.  You could pull the battries out, reinstall them, the remote will go through a beep/light routine, lighting the LEDs one at a time from bottom to top.
