Nothing special other than some warnings:

  • POWER LOCK|WHITE/ RED / yel           |+  |anti-theft plug
    POWER UNLOCK|blue/RED / yel      |+  |anti-theft plug

Do not operate locks by remote with door open or deadbolted to prevent possible damage to servos.

Anti-theft plug or module located under rear seat on passenger side. Door wires also found at general module under rear seat on driver's side. Be careful handling this module, as rotating it can cause underseat grommets to suck out, allowing eventual water damage to the electrical system.

I had the alarm installed and I connected the wires according to wiring descripition and I think it blew the driver for the door locks. I tested it and there is no output from the alarm. when the doors are locked there is a constant 12 volts on the wire and nothing on the unlock wire. but when unlock I have the same, unlock wire is hot. I checked all the motors and they all seem to work fine, none stuck. is this a thing with the car??? this is what I think that blew the driver.  Anybody know where I can get it fixed??? or is it cheaper to buy a new brain unit?????

The BMW requires a (+) signal for the actuation of the doors locks. Did you have the alarm programmed for (+) output ? Does the alarm have alternate polarity otuputs of just (-) output ?
