I'm installing a Compustar FT-6200S (remote starter only) with a Fortin Evo All bypass on a 2006 Civic 4 door automatic base model, my question is this bypass literally does the entire job especially with using the data cable from tach wire to foot brake.  My question is regarding the door locks.  The bypass has a special note saying to hook up the lock and unlock straight from the brain to the factory wires in the driver kick to enable those functions while the vehicle is running.  The bypass claims that is does Lock/arm and Unlock/disarm for me.  Also last quick question does this vehicle have a factory hood pin or do I need to mount one?  The bypass says it does it for me but I'm assuming its only if the vehicle is equipped with one that it will do it.

You do need a hood pin. Civic usually does not have one.
You do have to hook up door locks manually if you want them to work while vehicle is running. Compustar switches from data door locks to analog when the car is started.

Thank you for the reply.. I almost got away there with not opening the hood at all for the install. I'm worries due to her force of habit of using the oem Honda keyless entry on the key itself that this will conflict. I will try to stress as hard as I can that whatever you use to lock with you must use that same remote/key to unlock it. With this install that will have to be stressed? It would be really nice if she were to use either or to lock and unlock the vehicle and just use the remote start button.

Just get a 4 button compustar remote. And take the Honda one away from her. She could use either or for the locks. But the factory Honda may not work when its started.
