I have a 2004 chevy Silverado that I installed a Viper 5902 alarm and my headlamps come on when I start the vehicle. I thought they are suppose to shut off after the remote start turns on. I am using a xk01 in addition to the starter.

I always thought on the GM trucks lights came on with ignition.. Look at the owners manual to see if you can change that... What wire did you connect to for park lights????

I have hooked up the White wire h1-11 to the trucks gray black wire at the bcm in order to get the parking lights to operate. Do I actually have to have this wire hooked up for the parking lights to flash? Will they flash without this wire.

You can also use the status wire to trigger a relay to "cut" the headlamp wire when the remote starter is running and will return to normal operation when you take over with the key.
The headlight wire is white at the light switch OR at the BCM it's the light blue plug, Pin A12

The light output is set to (-). My previous install was on a 2003 chevy
Silverado. The parking lights on this truck are on with the truck running in remote start and the headlights are off until you turn on the ignition switch and hit the brake. The headlights then come on (they come on at night).

I found my parking light output had a bad connection. Thanks for all the help guys. The dome light also quit working but I found out the dome overide button got pushed. Had me going for quite a while. The
button is located below the dimmer switch.
