First post but I couldn't have gotten as far as I have without the search function of this site but I'm stumped on this one.
I've installed a 991 w/dball on my 2012 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited.
Everything as far as the alarm is concerned is working perfectly. I can't seem to get it out of MTS mode. When I get to menu 3 feature 1 in the feature programming there are 3 options but according to the manual there should only be 2. 1) Manual 2) Auto. I've tried all three but none of them work. I keep getting 7 flashes on the diagnostic. If I can't get an answer I guess I'll just have to take it in and let someone with a bitwriter do it for me. I would hate to do that after I've gotten this far.
Any advice?

open door
turn ignition on then off
hold the valet button until you hear 3 chirps
let go hit button, release, hold button to hear one chirp and release.
using the remote press unlock to change the option to 2.
turn ign on and wait until sirens chirp or wails for a second.
also, did you plug in the Neutral safety switch in the ON position? and ground the BLACK/ WHITE Neutral safety input?

I tried the method you provided and still no luck. Somehow I keep getting three options in that menu and it isn't working.
To answer your question yes I have the neutral safety switch on, I have the neutral safety in to parking brake ground and the hood pin is ground.
I get remote start error on the remote with no flashing lights. Engine does not turn over.
Here is the sequence in the manual I've been trying.
turn ign on then off
hold valet til 3 beeps
pres valet once then hold and release for feature one
hold valet and press lock to change feature
turn ign on to exit

you must not have the door triggers hooked up since you need the door open to enter programming.
you can manually ground the door trigger input. either that or you didnt connect the correct ignition wire.

It was the tach setting. Needed to switch from virtual tach to tach.
Thanks
