hello guys i am looking to do my first alarm install on my father's minivan. He owns a 2004 nissan quest with one automatic sliding door and automatic trunk/hatch opener. I was told by a local alarm installer i need a "Black box" and 2 modules one for the door and one for the hatch to open. Do i need some sort of bypass? if so, which one? and what modules? does any one know what I need to buy to make this work? Thank you guys

What rs system are you looking to install. I would recommend an ADS module that would do everything for you. These need to be programmed but can only be programmed to a specific firmware by authorized shops.
It can be done with other bypasses but if it has an alarm you will need to get wires in the door.
Good luck to you and do plenty of research prior to starting. Test all wires before you start your install. A DMM will be your new best friend.
