Does anyone know what the arming steps are for a manual transmission with the Viper 4704 remote start installed. Yes the Viper 4704 is a manual transmission compatible system. I have read the owners guide from cover to cover of the english section of it and looked on-line for it. All I found was the steps for the Viper 5701 security/remote start. Are they the same? One difference I see is that mine is not a security system so I can not arm the alarm so would hitting the door lock on the remote be the same idea?

Here are the steps for the Viper 5701:

the steps of arming the system for remote start for a manual transmission (MTS):

1. Put the transmission in neutral.
2. Press on the vehicle’s foot brake.
3. Apply the emergency brake.
4. Release the vehicle’s foot brake.
Note: Pressing the brake again after this step will disable the
remote start feature.
5. Within 15 seconds activate the remote start from the remote.
6. The parking lights will flash confirming that the remote start is
active.
7. Turn off the ignition (the car should stay running when key is
turned off).
8. Exit the vehicle.
9. Arm the alarm (the vehicle should shut off when arming the
system).

Step one should be "make sure the engine is running and all doors are closed"...Yes to every other step you listed.

To the best of my knowledge I have done everything as it should be. I have read everything from the owners manual and quick reference install guide and everything I have gotten from these forums but still no luck. Guess the bright side I got the locks hooked up right yeah me! Well unless there are any suggestions on what could be wrong I guess its time to throw in the towel and spend the money and take it to a professional. I hate this. I know I am in for a lot of I told you so's.

Do you have the Viper connected to the Brake (+) wire?

Do you have the Door Trigger wire connected to the Viper?

Do you have the Parking Brake wire connected to the Vipers Neutral Safety wire?

Have you verified each of these inputs at the Viper harness? The Viper is looking for these signals to enter into Reservation Mode.

I have verified that all those wires are connected correctly.

Did you get the TACH to program yet it won't work until you do. The process of Tach learing will change the Engine Checking Mode from the default of Virtual to Tach automatically, AS " 1. Manual: requires ‘Tachometer’ for the Engine Checking Mode, and requires the user to successfully perform a procedure when parking the vehicle before remote starter will engage"

Also did you plug in the switch and turn it to the on position?

No I didn't get the Tach learned yet. Going to fix what was found to be wrong then try to learn the Tach. See if what needs to be fixed allows the Tach to learn

Your welcome, make sure to use the most current H2 wiring that I corrected with the new H3 starter wire info for the clutch bypass. You should only need 1 additional relay for the setup.
