My Sisi inlaw has the car. I want to maybe install a remote start for her.

I have several used good DEI units along the era of 150ESP and 550ESP models.

I have installed an open toggle switch in the little yellow wire to bypass the PKII so the car starts perfect everytime.

If I use one of the RS units mentioned above can I wire the crank relay to Open the RS brown wire to make the car crank?

Using a delay relay or bypass module doesnt seem to make much sense if this method might work for me.

What are your thoughts?

thanks.

because the acc wire getting its voltage dropped for a moment is what makes the starter crank on this car from what i understand.

just dont hook up the starter wire at all. the remote starter drops the accessory wire when it goes to fire the car just like when you turn the key.
my cavalier was same way if i recall

i think when i get a few minutes i will hook the unit up on a bench and test to see if thats the case. if so, that would rock.

thanks for the info.

also there is a way to bypass the passlock with a resistor instead of doing the toggle switch which if i recall leaves the security light on all the time
