Daughter recently purchased used Impala "loaded" and the appearance of an security system (LED on dash), power locks, trunk, etc. Fuse in remote keyless entry slot. CHevy dealer check VIN and no factory system installed. Daughter also brought IC dynamics Model 3KA keyless entry system (JC Whitney) with leads and relays for remote trunk release, lock/unlock, flashing parking lights and horn. Inital investigation reveals lock/unlock buttom on driver's side door panel and passenger's side as well. Driver's side has 5 wires of which, I believe, two are to light the buttom.
The trunk release and parking lights are on the dash!
What am I up against???? Will this car ever run again???

Hi David,
It's been quite awhile since I fooled with an alarm system and I'm not as young now as then!! The lock/unlock portion talks of a pulse, a 470 ohm resistor, and a single wire, which isn't even mentioned in the instructions of the IC dynamics. They reference a 3 wire negative, without relays, 3 wire positive, with relays, and a 5 wire reverse polarity. So what is the world do I connect and to what?? the wiring diagram shows a 3 wire connectorized(one end) inserts into the alarm module with the colors green (-) door lock, red not used, and blue (-) door unlock!
The trunk release buttom on the dash, I want to "tap" into this one and not cutout the wire(L Blue)right??
