I have an old remote starter which has the same pinout/wiring as a CT-3371 (prostart) - few features.
I inted to replace the module with the prostart one (my remote is about to die, and can;t find one, it was half price: I a new remote, panic mode and an extended range).
My ca r is a manual trans 2003 protege5. The ready mode is a security feature but in the end of the day a PITA. Everytime a door is opened I have to go about the procedure again.
It is there to make sure that the gear is in neutral.
I guess the door input (-) is one of the things responsible for trigering the exit from ready mode.
the protege5 has a neutral safety switch (connected to pin 64 of PCM). if shifter in neutral (or clutch depressed), pin 64 reads < 1.0v and 12v if the gear is not in neutral.
So my question is : can I use this signal as the door input (-) (disconnected if pin 64 is grounded -simulate door closed no need to exit ready mode even if the door is actually open - and disconnected if 64 is 12v or car is running --simulate door open exit ready mode--.

I don't have an alarm so monitoring the actual door serves no purpose (at least as far as I can tell, correct me if I'm wrong)
