prestige aps 785c valet switch

I apologize if this isn't the proper forum for this question, but this is the only place online I've even seen this model remote starter mentioned (including the Audiovox web site). Can anyone tell me what the valet switch for this model looks like? I bought the car used and this remote starter was already installed. I have the box and manual but there aren't any pictures. All I see is the dash mounted LED, but no switch of any kind. I tried pushing in the LED, but it doesn't appear that it is a button. There was only one remote that came with the car. I purchased a second but the manual states the second step in programming a new remote is to press the valet switch three times and I'll be danged if I can find any valet switch. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Jeff

Wow, funny that this forum has just as much (if not more) information than Audiovox' own website! OK, there are three possible ways you'll have the valet button. 1: http://www.autotoys.com/New_Tech/DIY/99_Corolla/99_corolla.htm That page shows a Toyota around the same age as your car. The alarm installed is completely different from yours, but by coincidence, uses a very, very similar valet/programming button and red LED. If your LED looks like what you see in the pictures, look for the valet button you see there. The first place to look would be in the same location as you see on that site, drilled into the driver's kick panel. Sometimes the installer is either too lazy to drill a hole and mount the switch, or the car's owner didn't want holes drilled in the panels. Look for the button zip-tied inside the fuse box, tucked under the leading edge of the carpet, or hanging from the factory wiring bundles under the dashboard. On other occasions, you'll find that the valet button was never installed at all, never even plugged into the main alarm "brain," and just thrown away at the time of installation. That's where the valet button plugs in. So, if you can't find the button at all, try to find the brain. (Do you have a good remote still? When you lock/unlock the doors, or trigger the alarm, the brain will make clicking sounds. That will help you find it.) If you discover that the valet switch is missing, and you can get access to the brain, you can just short the two pins in the blue connector together by touching both at the same time with a screwdriver, car key, or other metal object. It's hard to do this with the correct timing to get the brain into programming, but you can do it with a little patience. 2: You did say you tried pushing on the LED, but look at the picture in this auction: Look on the left of the picture, and you'll see an item with red, blue, black and gray wires. That's the pushbutton LED. Does yours look like that? 3: The newest systems have the LED and pushbutton built into the antenna on the windshield. I think something is missing form the second two web sites you listed. I don't think http://www./itm is a proper web address. I couldn't get them to lead me anywhere. The autotoys web site works but there isn't any apparent valet switch mounted in the kick plate. I'll take a look inside the fuse box.

Chris, You are the man. The valet switch was hidden inside the fuse box. The fuse box itself is rather hidden on that model camry. Its actually tucked behind a little swing out pocket that looks like an ash tray. Anyway, I owe you a six pack my man. I've been looking for that switch for a year. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
