I emailed got an 04 F150 with the factory Code Alarm remote start. 2W7J19G367AA
The four button fob works fine to lock and unlock the doors. When I hit the remote start it powers up like it is going to start and then powers back down without cranking. It repeats this five times before it gives up. It doesn't beep the horn either so I've got no beep codes.
Anybody familiar with these old Code Alarms know what is going on? Install manual wasn't any help.

It's been a while but I still have all my papers on them. What does your anti theft light do when you try to start it ? My guess is it flashes fast which means the truck isn't seeing a valid key code.

Yeah. It's something with the PATS. It will start if I hold a key up to the ignition. It blinks fast. I can't seem to get it to program.
Did the whole turn the key to on. Wait for the light to go out. Turn the second key to on. Wait for it to go out. Push start. Light starts blinking fast.

First are both your keys original to the truck. Non cloned ?
Second what bypass is in the truck ?
I'm guessing its a 7L2Z-19G365-AA. If it is the ring that goes around the ingition fails in those. There is an updated part 8L3Z-19G365-BA it plugs into the same port as the 7L2Z and programs the same way

OK you can still use the 8L3Z-19G365-BA in place of that one
