I am doing some upgrades to my Grandpa's old F250 and plan to use it for pulling a travel trailer. Since our furkids travel with us, I am installing an alarm and remote start system. I am not planning to add an actuator to set the choke to actually start it, I just want the ability to engage the RS and remove the key when stopped for a restroom break to keep the air flowing and prevent anyone from entering the vehicle/releasing the hounds.
I worked in a RoadShop a couple decades ago, am a bit rusty...I think I have the wiring figured out, just hoped someone on here has done this as well, I would appreciate you confirming or correcting me.
Park light (+) Brown wire at light switch
Dome light supervision (-) Green/Yellow at Light switch
Tach Green at the coil
Door input (-) Green/Yellow at Light switch
Brake shutdown (+) Purple/White at ignition harness
RS
12v Yellow at ignition harness
Starter wire Red/Blue at ignition harness
I don't believe 2nd ignition or any of the other ignition outputs are needed...again let me know if I'm incorrect here.

Thank you in advance!

I can't verify any of the wiring, but if you're just going to use the pit stop function, you need the ignition wire, but can do without the starter wire (although it can be used for starter kill). As long as you have a multimeter you'll be fine.

If you want to keep the air flowing then I would imagine you will need an accessory wire powered during remote start.

As I was working on the wiring the same occurred to me, the orange wire coming off the ignition harness powers the harnesses from the AC/Heat selector so I connected the Pink to it to keep the air flowing during pit stop.

The blower may be powered by the orange accessory wire but you should also verify that the a/c compressor is staying engaged during pit stop and key removal. Some vehicles need the ignition powered for a/c to blow cold air.

You need the ignition wire connected for the engine to run.

I believe the compressor and blower both work off the Black Yellow, which is powered by the Orange wire (as best I can tell from wiring diagrams I have found on the ford-trucks.com forums).
I will definitely double check this before I close everything up, thank you for mentioning it!
