its not that hard but it takes time.. first is the windows up and down built in or do you paln adding a window module...? basically there is a green clip behid the glove box that houses all the wires you need to add an alarm to it. except the starter wire, ignition wire. and constant which would have to be gotten at the sterring column. to add a remote start it is a pain cause you have to go to bmw and get a factory key ring the actual ring that is installed. then take a key fit it between the ring and solder wires to the ring (two wires) then you have to interface it with the current factory wires. while using a relay to trick the car to make it think there is a key in the ignition and a person starting it. .. now if you grab the lights wire at the clip i was talking about then those will actually give you the hazard lights. to get the parking lights you have to use either big amp diodes or relays to isolate the two parking light wires. one wire for each side of car. or actually on the 2000 you may have a switch were you would still have to use a relay to interupt the wire and that will turn the p lights on.. if you want to know you have to email me and i will get back to you on wires colors and placement.
a plus about bmws is they all have all the wires you need, meaning to add a alarm the wires are all ran like the hood and trunk wires. the siren wires to add a remote start you would have to run a tach wire. into the engine thats it. no hood pin wire or siren wire. they are there already. more info email me.

mecp certification is not always needed. I have it and it has not helped me out at all. my experience out shines it.
