2003 s-10 blazer and 2003 chevy cavalier

I would like to turn on the heated back glass remotely during the remote start.I have the trigger voltage available either plus 12v or ground.I need the wire info.I think gm is using a timer switch.

any help is greatly appreaciated

you are gonna have to goto the defroster switch and test the wire with a DMM or a computer safe test light to see which wire triggers it.

is the button to turns it on in the car momentary? or is it some kind of latching switch? If it is momentary would could solder a relay across the terminals on the switch, so that it is momentarily "pressed" with the relay from the trigger. If its latching... well check if its moentary first that would be easy to do heated back glass remotely -- posted image.

yes it is a momentary that activates a timer in the car.
