I bought the DirectStart CS423 with the CHDLPK-3 Bypass Kit and had it installed on a 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 Laramie.  Problem I am having is while driving down the road the doors will re-lock and the instrument panel lights will go out and the gauges will all fall and then come right back up.  There is no consistency with the time when this happens.  Sometimes it will do it right after another and sometimes it may be up to 20 minutes.  If you exit the truck with the keys still in the ignition and it does it, then your locked out of the truck.  I am not hearing anything coming from the CS423 when this happens.  When I press the lock on the remotes, I normally hear a click in the CS423 before the locks actually lock.  So I am interpreting this malfunction in the CHDLPK-3.

Also the CHDLPK-3 is not consistent as bypassing the syntry key.  Sometimes it will start and sometimes it won't. I had to have a different bypass system installed so it would bypass it.

Any suggestions?

How was the connections made at time of installation ? Solder , connectors or just wrap and tape ? Sounds like a loose connection or a wire is being grounded.
