I'm trying to install the ungo ms8300 in my 92 mustang and I have a question regarding the "secondary power" wire.  The installation manual says:

Pin 18 - RED / white: Secondary Power (+12v) input [20A fuse]

Connect to a fused +12v source.  This wire is the source of power for all of the system's onboard relays, so a source of power capable of maintaining the necessary current is essential.  Be sure to install a fuse near the connection.  Do not remove or bypass the fuse holder included on the wire harness.

My question is where should I connect this wire?  There are already wires to the Door trigger, main power, and ignition key - all +12v input.  Should I connect to one of these or a different one? I would appreciate any help.

I would connect anything that takes a twenty amp fuse right to one of the main power wires at th ignition harness and fuse it as close as possible to that wire.

Grab your 12v straight from the battery! This business of grabing power from under the dash is a bad habit that should be avoided.

Why would you not use the IGNITION wires from the igntion cylinder for your power supply on the MS8300 alarm system ? The alarm is only going to be drawing about 10 - 15 amps MAX at full alarm activation. Otherwise it will only be drawing  less than 5 amps during normal operation. I do not think that connecting at the ignition harness is a bad habit unless you are trying to connect an amplifier to the ignition wires.
