Is the 555H, 555T and the 555I all the same ? I see these model numbers and they all are the same according to the tech sheets... any way, I did not say that this would not work , the basis of the transponder bypass is to replicate the resistance in the key. I meantioned that the tech sheet information from DEI stated that the bypass module 555H only stated that the 2000-2002 TL's but not the 1999's. It will not hurt the transponder key to try this out, the only thing is that if it does not work ( but I can't see it not working ) then you have a used bypass module and also a half finished install

OUCH !! Yah, I see your dilemna about the key. I think those keys are about $ 120.00 Cdn $$ and you need the registered owner and VIN number of the car to order one from Acura ( for obvious reasons ). If you end up having the 555T bypass not working , give me a shout and I'll ship the bypass that I install for you ASAP. I installed it into a Type-S TL this past year ( 2002 ) and it worked fine for the customer.
