I am working on installing an alarm in a 2001 Dodge Ram 2500 diesel. The wiring diagrams I have say there are seperate wires for each door, a tan one for the driver and a BLACK/ blue for the passenger. They also say both are located at the module on the right side of the steering column. I found the module (the annoying beeping one) and the tan wire is present and is the door pin for the driver door. However there is no BLACK/ blue wire present and I put the meter on all the other wires and none of them are the passenger door pin. Also I notice the beeping noise you get when a door is open is only occurs when the driver door is open and not when the passenger door is open. Any ideas?

Thanks. I will try it. I just finished get everything else hooked up. This was my first alarm install and from the knowledge I gained on this site it went smoothly and everything worked(remote start, keyless entry, etc.) Only problem I had and it was a stupid mistake but my alarm came with a prewired relay for the starter kill. I wired up the relay and tried remote start it worked but when I retried with the key it would not crank. After about 30 minutes checking wires I realized that even though I had wired up the plug for the relay I forgot to plug the relay in.

The yellow wire did the trick. Install is complete. Thanks again.
