I'm installing a dei sidewinder 6500esp on my 90 t-bird and when i go to remote start it, all it does is kicks on the lights and goes through the normal sequence of starting it  but no starter. when i start it with the key i have to hit the brake, how can i get around this and make it all work?

Thanks for any information you can give me

Ignoring and not using the alarm do you have to hit the brake to start the car with the key?
Which starter wire did you connect to? Give both the alarm wire color and car color wire. How did you install the starter kill relay?
Sit in the car and hit the remote start button. As soon as it starts the sequence put the key to the "ign" position and see if it starts then.
Car is an automatic right/
