Hey guys I am new to this so bear with me, I am installing a DEI 500esp alarm on my 1999 f150 I have everything hooked up but the starter kill relay. I am confused on how to hook up my green and black wires on the relay. In my book it  has a picture of the green wire going to the ignition key and the black wire to the starter motor.  I am confused on which wire to hook these up to. Any help would be greatley appreciated

Cut your starter wire in half, the cut half that's coming from the ign side goes to your green wire, the cut half that's coming from the engine bay side goes to your black wire...
     Starter Wire
Starter        Ignition

________X   X_________
Black        Green
