remote start on 87 cutlass?

Is it possible to put remote start on a carburated engine.  I heard it was and that it wasnt and that your engine has to be perfectly tuned for it to work and then i heard that you have to convert your car from carbuerator to fuel injection which would be very expensive.  Is it possible, or will i have to have my car converted, and if it is possible WITHOUT conversion, is there anything extra i would need to buy.  I hear that the clifford rs3 would be a good alarm system to get and since i can get it for roughly $170.00, why not huh?  please someone help me though.  The car is a 1987 cutlass supreme with a newer 350 engine in it.  thanks in advance.

I had rs in a 86 toyota tercel it worked all right with trunk release solenoid on carb to pull throttle on start but it took some playing to get it not to aver rev and shut down.  Comand start made one that would pull throttle three times then pull and hold when starting.  it would also wick the throttle every 60 seconds to kick choke of worked not bad good luck. you may have to wire second start to hold solenoid while starting
