I got an FAI-300v car alarm systems and would like to install it.  However, I don't understand the wire diagram that came with it.  Can anyone help me figure out how to connect these wires?  The problem wires are those for the door lock.  There are Door Pin Switch (-), Door Pin Switch (+) and 2 more wire for Central door lock.  I believe those wires are supposed to connect to Door lock, unlock and trigger somehow but I don't know which.  Please see the wire diagram from this link.

I have a Honda Accord 90 2DR.  It has negative input door lock, unlock and trigger.  Any advice would help and much appreciate.

thanks,

tom.

DOOR TRIGGER---------BLACK/ white------------------left of column located in a brown plug

  • GREEN wire on FAI 300V
  • DO NOT USE THE BLUE ( + ) wire . tape up and put aside

For the central door lock, it does not day if it's a + or a - output so what you can do is hook everything together except the two door lock wires and then when everything is set, place your multimeter on these wires and see what the polarity is on them. I think they should be (  - ) but never assume anything and test it first. If they are ( - ) output then all you have to do is wire it straight to the wires here:

  • POWER LOCK-------------BLACK/ white --------------lower drivers kick
  • POWER UNLOCK---------BLACK/ red ----------------lower drivers kick
  • Locate the large harness in the lower below the carpet in the drivers kick panel.  Near the foot rest you will notice a piece of blue tape attached to the harness itself.  Reach around to the underside of the blue tape to locate a 2 pin gray plug with the lock and unlock wires attached to the plug.

Thanks for your answer, Jeff.  However, the problem is I don't know which one is Door Trigger and Power Lock/Unlock on the FAI-300.  The spec. of the FAI-300 said, it works with both negative and positive input.

PS. As you said Green on FAI-300V is door trigger.  Below is the link to the FAI-300V wire diagram.

  • GREEN wire on FAI 300V

This information is what you need to do for the door trigger. Hook up the GREEN off the alarm to the BLACK/ WHITE wire found on the left of column located in a brown plug

As for the door lock the system is probably an alternatinf system so all you have to do is attach ones wire to the door lock of the Accords and one to the door unlock and that's it. The system will take care of the rest for you.

Thanks Jeff for your advice.  I tried to install it over the weekend.  I almost have everything installed.  However, I couldn't locate the door trigger, blk/wht--------------left of column located in a brown plug.  On "the12volt installbay" I found the wire diagram for my car show that the door trigger is the blk/wht  above hood release brown connector.  I located that wire but it doesn't seem to be the door trigger.  There is always 12 volts on this wire (with door closed or opened).

Can anyone help???

thanks.

tom.

Go straight to the door pin if you can't find a wire under the dash. The driver door works with all the doors .
