Hey guy, ya u just have to arm and disarm the factory alarm with the aftermarket alarm, unless someone knows how to disable the factory alarm, cuz i've never done that before. Most aftermarket alarms have arm and disam wires on them now, and if not just put a relay in to arm it(convert the lock pulse to negative with a relay and hook it to tan at the bcm).Of course disarm is next to it ...lt. green.

There is a light green wire at the BCM wire that you hook the disarm wire on the alarm to. To arm the factory alarm, you either have to lock the truck with a door open, or send ground to the drivers door pin when you lock the truck.

hooking up the alarm disarm wire for remote start is one thing. you should also hook up the unlock wire from aftermarket alarm to the factroy disarm wire, so that the factory alarm does not go off when you unlock the truck. dont forget to diode isolate the wires.

The disarm wire will still pulse a fraction of a second before the unit pulses the unlock wire. No need to hook the unlock wire from the alarm to the disarm wire of the truck if the alarm has a dedicated disarm wire. Of course we don't know if it does, because yet another person didn't provide us with what alarm model he has.
