I am installing a Lynx 2000 in a 2002 Silverado using the PLDATA as a bypass. Am I correct in my planning that the "Starter Interrupt signal output" on the alarm connects directly to the "Ground output when running wire" of the Pldata?

Thanks in advance for your help.

yep.  ground out when running and starter kill output are the same...however, does the Lynx starter not have a dedicated ground out?  Either way, this wire will go to ground either just before or during the power-up sequence, and stay at ground while running under remote start.

If this is an alarm/starter combo (not familiar with Lynx), then its a bad idea to use that wire cause it'll go to ground when armed, effectively disabling the Passlock system (which is not what you want).  You only want that bypass in the circuit when remote starting/running.

hope this helps!

Hamilton Audio - Thanks for the reply.

It is a combo alarm/RS.

I cant see in the install manual any connections specified as ground out when running. Is there another connection that I could use? How about if I use the negative connection for the Diesel Glow plugs since my truck is Gas? Would that work the same as ground out when running?

Also, one more question about the arm and disarm connections for the factory alarm. Will this also handle the functions of the factory keyless entry for the locks and Dome light?

There is an Auxillary Ignition 1 that has a negative output on it. Says its reserved for cars with two IG 1 connections. Its negative out so it would require a relay if it was for a starter. Maybe its negative on pupose so that it can serve as the ground when running connection?

Use the 2nd IGN output wire and diode isolate if your using this wire for a 2nd IGN as well as your ground out when running wire.

Since I need this 2nd IGN output for the 2nd IGN on the truck, can I just tap it before the relay for the ground out and continue on and connect it to the 2nd IGN on the truck using a relay? Is there an easier way using one of the other IGN connections for the 2nd IGN as well?

Yes you can use the same wire but use a diode to isolate it from each other.
