Getting ready to install a Avantguard 4. Asking questions before I start! Looking for GEM module under and behind the radio and can't find it. Found a small grayish box on top of the trans. tunnel near the firewall under the console, any ideas???
The keyless Entry/Security was easy, to the left of the steering column behind the light switch on the firewall.
Also, the BLACK / YELLOW wire to wake the GEM, is it a smaller guage wire found in the driver's door boot?

Don't bother looking for the GEM. You don't really need to get any wires at it. I assume you are woried about the locks falling asleep, have you even tested to see if that option is turned on yet? If it is, the owners manual for the truck tells you how to turn it off.

go to the module inside the car against the firewall. there is a white plastic module with two grey plugs one has the locks neg triggers and the other plug has two light blue white wires use the one next to a black pink. this is a negative trigger it doubles as a door trigger as well. double pulse the unlock and it will override the sleep system for the locks
