I just lost the remote to my 1994 Toyota Camry XLE alarm. I have 2 Toyota remotes from another 1994 Camry I had. Is there a way to reprogram them to work with this 1994 Camry?

Hey Rob, from what I recall, some of the Toyotas use a system provided by Rostra and some of them used the old "scratch n sniff" style remotes. On these you cut traces on the board to match them with the unit in the vehicle. You can check the ones you have by taking them apart, removing the board from the case and lookiing for numbered traces on the back of it. If this is the type you have, you should see at least one or more cut. Next you'll need to locate the alarm module in your vehicle and match your remotes to the alarm or the alarm to your remotes, depending on what traces have been cut. It's easier to cut traces than to solder them back together.
If you have a programmable style transmitter/receiver and you have an override switch, you may still be able to program them yourself by first turning the key to the run position, then within 3 seconds flip the override switch on and off 3 times, then press the main button on the remote, then turning off the key.
If you do not have an override switch and it's not the "scratch n sniff" type, then you'll probably have to try your Toyota dealer.
