Hey bub,

How are they conflicting...need some more info than that....you might ahve something hooked up wrong...

As far as disabling the factory alarm....I don't think you can....I think it's built into the BCM or atleast the passlock is...

As far as the Dome light goes...exactly what are you trying to do?  Have courtesy entry (dome light comes on when doors are unlocked, or something like that)?

Answer the preceding questions and my exhausted a$$ will be glad to attempt to help.....

FACTORY ALARM DISARM-----------lt.green--------------|  -  trigger |----------------drivers kick *4

  • *4  Also found in the purple plug of the BCM.

DOOR TRIGGER*2----------------|  - trigger  |------------------BCM *1

  • *1 The BCM is located behind the drivers side of the dash.  The plugs on the BCM face towards the rear of the vehicle. The parking lights are in pin A5 and the headlights are in pin A11.
  • *2 Use tan for the drivers door located in pin B4 of the purple plug, and for the passenger door it will be a orange in pin B2 in the purple plug or dk.blue/white in pin B11 of the lt.blue plug, must diode isolate these wires.

Hey, thanks for the replies! I got everything in order except the dome lights. What I'm trying to do is get the dome light supervision to come on when I disarm the 745i3.The current system on my truck,at one of the courtesy lights show postive 12.5 volts on both wires but when I turn them on one of the wires goes down to 0.0 -0.08 volts and the other stays the same @ 12.5 Is this a negative system or positive?Do I need to diode them?or even better if you know where and which wire it is I wil extremely THANKFULL.

I'm also thinking of adding a car start to my alarm it's posible right? Is it as difficult as the alarm install because that alarm kicked my @&$!

Believe it or not these trucks are the easiest vehicles to put alarms in once you get used to them. All the alarm connections are right the in the light blue, brown and purple plugs at the BCM except for 12V+, IGN, and START wires those wires are just to the left behind the fuse block. Get your domelight wire at your underdash light there is an orange and a white wire going to it. Tap into the white wire. Whenever a ground is applied to the white wire all your interior lights will come on regardless of the position of your domelight override switch. It is best to use a relay for domelight unless your alarm has one on-board.

Adding a remote start feature is cake just a few more wires and a 555t or other Passlock II Immobilizer nodule call me for info

I'm Don.I can answer all your security questions. I have 12 years in the industry.

I am planning on installing a python remote start on a similar truck.  It's a 99 Silverado.  I already have the alarm installed and everything works fine.  I do have a question about the bypass.  I'm using a 555L.  How do I hook it to the truck and the alarm.  Currently I do not have the alarm setup to disarm the factory alarm.  Would I need to do this?

You only need to bypass the alarm if you locked the doors with the OEM keyless entry remote otherwise if you use the aftermarket remote to do all the keyless entry functions then you do not need to bypass the OEM disarm wire. It wouldn't hurt either to do this if you are planning on leaving the OEM alarm in the vehicle, this causes less chance of something going wrong when remote starting the vehicle.
