i purchased the CS-2013FM system and i have intalled everything myself... i have a 98 honda accord LX 4 door 4 cyl...

when i hit the remote start, the car doesn't crank over, it just keeps cranking... i'm guessin the ignition is not properly connected...

i found that there are three parking light RED / black wires, one for the rears and one for each front... i connected the white parking lights wire to all three wires, but the lights don't work... should i connect it to just one location?

my lock button does not work... altho the automatic locks work from the remote... the locks only lock after a starter disable or after i activate and then deactivate the panic function... and then i have the option of unlocking it with my remote, which works fine... it just won't lock from the remote...

thanks for all your help,
Vitaliy

I'm guessing you didn't temporarily bypass the immobizer chip in the key. Try remote starting the car with the ignition in the key. Then read the section about keys in the owners manual that came with the car
"I found that there are three parking light RED / black wires, one for the rears and one for each front... i connected the white parking lights wire to all three wires, but the lights don't work... should i connect it to just one location?"
Use one...located on the backside of the drivers side fuse box.
"my lock button does not work... altho the automatic locks work from the remote... the locks only lock after a starter disable or after i activate and then deactivate the panic function... and then i have the option of unlocking it with my remote, which works fine... it just won't lock from the remote..."
What wires did you use for lock and unlock? Use BLACK/ white for lock and GREEN/ red for unlock on LX models without factory security. These wires are located in a two pin gray connector by the front of the drivers side fuse box.
I've done about 6 of these cars (98-02 are all the same) in the last week. Last one today took about an hour.

i think i pretty much understand everything except one thing... i know i wired the locks right... i have a 2-way pager and it only has one key to lock/unlock... i don't think the unit is recognizing the lock command because everytime i hit the button on my 2-way, it keeps unlocking, and won't lock... but if i activate the panic function and then cancel it, the doors lock automatically and the alarm activates... then i use the button to unlock the car and disable the alarm, but then it won't lock back from the remote, just keeps unlocking...

Is up to the installer to test all wires with a DMM whenever possible.

You hooked up an alarm/remote start without a meter? No wonder you're having problems.
