I am thinking about installing a two alarm/remote start for my expedition.  I would like to know how difficult would this be for a person who has never installed an alarm before, but has car audio electronics experience?

Depends how much car ausio experience you have. It's not like installing a CD player or a pair of speakers. I would suggest bringing it to a professional and pay the $ 100 - $ 150 for install.
