My fairly basic alarm has a ground trigger wire for pin switches, and interior ultrasonic protection.

However I cannot connect my pin switches and ultrasonics together, as it disables my ultrasonics.

On here it says about diodes but i know nothing about them, can i acheive what i want by using a relay and avoiding diodes??

If not could someone please shed some light on the diode situation, n what type i would need??

Thanks very much in advance!

Thanx 4 your time

The diode section on this website will shed some light on them.
if you have 2 negative trigger zones and only one input wire on the alarm, 2 diodes will isolate the two circuits from each other. Put the band on the diode on the side of the sensor.
A 1N4001 diode will suit you just fine.
