I am installing a remote in this car . Have the passlock bypassed and using the following wires: Ign1 pink    Ing 2 green  acc orange The car will not start with the remote. Any help would be greatly app.

  I now have the remote starting the car, but when I turn the key on and take it off of remote the passlock light on, other then that it is fine. Any help will be appreciated.

your bypass needs to be fine tuned, sounds like you are at the outside edge of tolerance and need to get the resistance closer to tolerance.

i did a malibu same thing happened with light i have had no problems in over a year!

I changed the resistor last night. Now it starts fine with the remote and then turn the key on the passlock light is on. If you shut the car off and restart it with the key the light is gone and all is well.

If you installed a anti-grind relay, then you need to turn the key to start before hitting the brake to turn off the RS. If you did not install an antigrind relay, you should to avoid grinding the starter everytime. I am pretty sure it does not have a factory anti-grind featrue, but I guess it could. There's one way to find out though.

I installed the anti-grind and everything is working ok. Thanks for all the help, it is good to know you have somewhere to go and get good info.
