I am new to this site..First Post.. '95 Sentra GXE - Keyless Entry Only?? -- posted image.

My wife and I just had a new baby and I want to install a keyless remote for the power locks to make life a little easier on her. I dont really need the alarm although the "light flash" when the doors are unlocked might be nice in a crowded parking lot..

I was an electronics tech for 15 years, so I hope I can handle the install myself

Here are my ???'s:

1) Is there such thing as a Keyless Entry sytem without an Alarm?? or do they all come with them and you just dont hook it up if you dont want it?
2) What is a good brand/where is a good place for an after market Keyless kit?? (Rattler, Autoloc, Bulldog??)
3) I am also a little confused about relays...I know how they work..After reading some posts, I am just a little confused on when you would need a relay versus just tapping into a couple of wires.)
thx a bunch

yes there are keyless module with out haing the alarm,  a keyyless module wold be a lot easier to install.

of the three I would go with the Rattler which is made by DEI www.directed.com

Your car is easy no relays required just a straight negative pulse.

If I may suggest you could try the 561R valet Remote start keyless entry, not only woul you have keyless entry , but also the ability to start the car. here is the info for your car. Check all wires nad test, if u decide to install the starter don't forget to hook up the Nissan's second starter wire. The unit will also blink your lights.

Is up to the installer to test all wires with a DMM whenever possible.

thx for the info..I live in Alabama and keep both cars in a toasty garage so I dont really need the Remote Start function...

Where is a good place online to buy this type of product...(excuse the ignorance...this is my first foray into this field)
