Make sure that you put a perimter sensor on the bike.... not a shock sensor ( it useless to put one of these on a bike ) and second make sure that you hide the brain of the unit somewhere where there will be absolutely no rain or moisture getting in but also a place that you can't easily access. Ask the local Harley dealership about where the OEM alarms go and put it there.... there's a spot for one on all new HD's.

When I installed an alarm on my bike I just used a regular car alarm...just because they are much cheaper then a "motorcycle alarm" and I wanted a horn honk feature, parking light flash, shock sensor, mecury tilt switch, and starter kill.  Just make sure it is small enough...I used an Avital Hurricane 3...but they don't make them anymore.  If my bike was fuel injected with no fast idle adjustment...I know for sure that I would have a remote start on it just for the hell of it.  When you do install it...make sure you use a hot glue gun and fill in all the nooks and crannies on the alarm unit to make it water proof.

...and for the audio...my buddy uses a MP3 player and links it with a cheap EQ/AMP that you can get from JC Whitney and he uses some really small JBL speakers..(they are like 3 or 4 inches tall, they are either for home audio or computer) on his ZX-12.  It is much more compact than a car radio.

Alright Thanks Guys!!!

Yeah I figured a perimeter sensor...

Yeah we're using a DEI Sidewinder.  can't remember the model...

a far as the system....Dude builds custom bikes...this is what he wants..it ain't a daily rider, Show only...so On a show only bike which will spend most it's life on a trailer except at places like Sturgis...I can see a system..otherwise...hell no!!!  But I'll still do them.. mo money mo money!!

Also Velocity:

Can't contact the harley dealership...nothing on this hawg is stock..guy redid it all...so since he has a fairing..I think it's time to bust out the 'glass...hehehehe

So stay tuned..I'll get some pics posted...well time to go do it....

Thank you all, and have a Loud DAY!!!
