had a car towed in to the shop today.  with a no start problem.  i traced it to the passlock system it has a viper remote start in it.  with a 555lw.  what i have found is that the cars black passlock wire has no ground on it.  does anybody know if it is grounded through the ignition switch or from a different source.   thanks in advance.

The Passlock wires usually come from the BCM in most GM's. It is not a true ground but a low reference for the Passlock system. Disconnect your interface and get the vehicle running properly. Then, if no problems exist try your bypass again. It or it's connections may be at fault.
