Doing my first install with a Avistart 4300 security/remote start/keyless entry system on my 96 escort LX. My first goal is to have the remote start working. I've wired everything to directions (starter is gry/yel & acc is RED / grn), but when I hit the remote start, it goes into run for a split second, but doesn't ever crank. I've found another cable in the ignition harness that is RED / gry, but can't figure out what it is. Could it be the starter wire? Thanks!

So, as I figure, IGN1 from the starter goes to blk/grn, IGN2 goes to the RED / orange, but what does the orange accessory wire go to? Also, what is the RED / gry wire?

Got it figured out. Here is the standard DEI wiring harness to a 96 Ford Escort LX Hatchback..

Pink/White - RED / Grn

Pink - Blk/Grn
Purple - RED / Gry (starter side)
Grn - RED / Gry (IGN side)

Orange wire on harness is not used. Gry / YELLOW on car harness is not used.

Thanks for the help here though!
