Im been reading the post here so Im am up on the connections

I pulled this Viper out of my 99 yukon and I have the 555l passlock interface

which lead will I connnect to the factory disarm wire?  I have a blue - output from the viper

and I would like to use just the viper remote for unlock and disarming/arm , I usually just leave the factory remote with the dealers when it gets serviced,  in case of the old clone remote trick, I take the Vipers with me. so it needs to work both ways.

also I been reading about interfaces for the factory deck that give 2 or 3 imputs but the external player has to have a disc or tape in it, I dont like that .   I wish they had a kit the plugs into the ext tape and gives you 2 -3 inputs

The factory disarm output from the 550 should be a GREEN/ black wire. The blue (-) output is the status output, which you will use for the 555L.
Not sure if you're thinking this, if not then please ignore, but disarming the factory alarm and bypassing the Passlock II are 2 separate steps of the install process, and both need completed.

no I know how to install the passlock 555l I was wondering which lead on the 550 to connect to the factory  GREEN/ black disarm,,     do I have to install the lock unlock connections or does the pulse from the disarm unlock the doors?

The 550 should have a GREEN/ black wire in a 3-pin plug to connect to the factory disarm wire on the truck. If you look on the back of the unit you should see a schematic of where it would be. I believe there are also in the same plug the PURPLE / black channel 4 output and the gray/black wait to start wire. The disarm wire on the truck only disarms, it doesn't unlock.
Since this isn't a new unit, there's a chance that the 3-pin plug may have been thrown away because its wires weren't needed on the original vehicle. If that's the case the easiest thing to do would be to use a relay hooked up to the status output and the unlock output to control the factory disarm. I can make a diagram on how to do that if you want me to.

ok I found a 3 pin plug I had a extra viper parts around from some other install  i just have to put label tags on each lead because colors are diff.    so the aux 550 disarm wire - goes to the Tahoe Lt green wire.   and I assume I have to put the green'unlock" & blue"lock" wires from the 550 lock harness will go to the Tahoe  Lt blue "lock" & white "unlock"

yep...you've got it. BTW this is the very small 3-pin plug you're using, not the one with the lock and unlock wires, correct?

yes its a spare 3 pin harness from some other install but I Just have to remember the colors are different.     all the light and power wire are simple.   yellow "start",   Pink "ign1",  white "ign 2",  accy "orange"  ,  I will need a extra slave relay, which I can barrow the  anti grind relay or add another because this came with 3 power relays and a antigrind/starter kill relay which I will borrow for the addtional needed relay.

Im very temped to sell this alarm and get a 2 way paging alarm,  only because I keep $1000's in DJ PA equiptment overnight in there, but had not consided which is the best brand,  3 years ago the 550 was king I know there is a better one now.

what is the best one for this?

the Viper 791XV is pretty cool...on the expensive side though, and it only comes with the one LCD remote. Audiovox makes a 2 way system that has an LCD remote and a regular remote and is cheaper, but it's a pain in the ass to install. There are quite a few other brands that make them, but I've actually only worked with those two.
You could also get DEI's add-on paging system; I think the part # is 790T. It's like $100 or so and works with existing alarms - you'd have to carry the pager and a remote though.
