I just replaced a dead battery in my daughter's 1994 Grand Prix. It has a viper alarm system but I don't know the model number or have owners manual. She hasn't used the alarm for a while now and both of her key fobs are 200 miles away at her college apartment. How can I get the car started? I looked for a valet switch but can't locate one. How to I disarm this alarm to get her back to school?

Thanks in advance. I am desperate.

Locate the starter wire, it will be the wire in the ignition harness that is cut and both sides have a butt connector on them with wiring going into either a relay or the alarm's brain. Just cut the wires going to the alarm and reconnect the starter wire. Then just pull the fuses at the alarm, or at least the one on red wire. There will be 2-3 fuses depending on how old the alarm is.

Pull the 15 amp fuse on the red wire going to the alarm. Start car.
