I am wanting to add remote start to the factory alarm system. Any particular units that I should look into that have all the toys??

So you want a system that will use the OEM remote control or one that will control the OEM alarm as well as have remote start capabilities ? In either case, I suggest a Compustar unit and I would get rid of the OEM remote and use the aftermarket one to control the arming and disarming of the OEM security system.

Is that possible?? To Have a different remote, start the truck, and control the oem alarm the same as it presently is. I am curious about that because the oem alarm has seperate remotes that control driver 1 and driver 2 for the memory seat and the mirrors and more. Will this still work.
thanks

i believe it will be seen as driver 1... but the second remote ( if it comes with 1 ) will not be seen as driver 2.......

when i use my Clifford 2-way remote the BCM registers it as Driver 1.... you can however have the system you are installing differentiate between remote 1 and remote 2...and change the features that are programmed into it... ( like ign door locks on / off, etc. )   it will not however, change the heater settings and radio stations like the OEM transmitters do..... ( i dont think so anyway, my unit only came with 1 remote so i  havent had a chance to put that theory to the test )
