remote start wont rs

i have been working on my install for over a month, finally got my pldata II hooked it up. and went through the programming, i can get to the rpm learning and it confirms it has learned it. but cant go any further. the remote start function don't do anything? when i first did the install without the pldata it would crank over, no it dont do that. the ground while running is from the 3rd ing wire(-). i disconnected the bat when i installed the pldata. and had to reprogram the alarm. but it seems i might be forgetting something.(happens with old age) the vehicle is a 2003 silverado. the alarm system is a autopage rs 650 plus. anyone with any help? yes it took me a month to get a pldata II. and i hooked it up and it did what it was supposed to do with the blinking led, and then i moved the little piece to the right place for operation as said by directions. the first time i had trouble programming and i cant remember what i did to get it to crank over?

Is the unit clicking when you try to remote start it...making any noise at all? Lights flashing when you press buttons on the remote? Do you hear relays clicking on for ignition and then another for the starter output? Are you getting any clicks at all? It may be in a Valet mode (check the manual on how to enter and exit this mode). Maybe a hood pin or brake wire is causing a remote start safety shutdown condition. If the hood pin is touching ground or the brake wire is seeing 12 volts then it will not attempt to start most likely. Double check those connections. After activating the start sequence put your meter on the ignition output to see if your getting your power up for ignition. After you know that works try it again with your meter on the starter wire output to make sure your getting power for cranking over the starter. If you are getting power during the ignition sequence....start it with the key, then press the start button. Once the lights are on turn off the key and see if the engine remains running. If so then something is wrong with your starter wire connection (double check your wires). Those are some things to try. Lastly, make damn sure you power both ignition wires during remote start or you will burn up your transmission. Post your results and we'll try to help you if your still having difficulty. Steve
