Alright guys, I started the alarm install for my clifford matrix 2.5

I started on the 451m and the doors, connected ALL the wires it came with, the Mustang has a 5 wire system.

I connected the 5 wires to the wires according to: https://www.the12volt.com/installbay/detail.asp?info=alarm&year=1995-97&make=Ford&model=Mustang&ID=17831&type=Alarm

Once this was all connected, I pressed the interior lock/unlock, one worked, and when I pressed the other (forget which) the lights dimmed and I could smell burning.

I opened the 451 and saw that two strips were cooked, but it still may work..what happened and why?

grab two new relays, check your wiring, and try again.

How can I get a replacement 451m?

I'm not a dealer, would I just go back to the place I bought the alarm?

How much do you think a replacement 451m costs?

Also, the inline fuse to the 451m didn't blow, but the module smells like it's fried...I'll post a picture soon
