Hi everyone.  I'm installing an alarm on my 89 Nissan 240 sx and Im having some troubles.  I've pretty much gotten everything I need to do, done, but I can't find the door trigger wire.  I had trouble looking for it so I gave up hopes and i was gonna go for the dome light wire but I can't seem to find that either.  Somewhere on this board said to hook it up behind the intrument cluster but if the door opens, the "open door" light doesnt not come on, therefore, I dont think it will  trigger the alarm...I'm just wondering if anyone can help me out here because it's the only thing thats keeping me from finishing...

Also, I want to hook it up to the trunk trigger too.  Can I "SPLICE" the door trigger wire from the alarm to go to both the door trigger AND the trunk's trigger?  Thanks.  I hope to find this site very useful..

DOOR TRIGGER--------------RED / white --------------| - type |----------------at the courtesy light

TRUNK/HATCH PIN----------red-----------------------| - type |----------------at the switch or light in trunk

Yes you can splice into the door trigger for the trunk but diode isolate the two wires so you won't have any problems. If you can't find the door trigger wire you can go straight to the switch and splice into the wire there.
