I am a do-it-yourselfer and I am hoping someone can help me locate the door trigger wire on an 04 Isuzu Ascender. Online support tells me there is a trigger wire at the fuse box under the driver's side rear seat. I am hoping to find one closer to the dash. I was also wondering if it makes a difference whether I connect the interface module to the door trigger or the dome light trigger since I have a time delay on the dome lights. If it doesn't make a difference, then where is a dome light trigger? I know that it is not in the A or B column on the driver or passenger side.

Here's what I can find on the ascender although I don't think I can remember ever working on one. As always be sure to test and verify any information! Good luck,
Mike
All Door Trigger: gray/black (-) @ drivers A pillar or underdash light.
All Door Trigger: gray/black (+) @ fusebox under left rear seat.
LF Trigger: gray/black (-) @ module in driver door.
RF Trigger: BLACK/ white (-) @ module in passenger door.
LR Trigger: light blue/black (-) @ fusebox under left rear seat.
RR Trigger: lt. GREEN/ black (-) @ fusebox under left rear seat.

Still having problems. There is no gray and black wire in the A pillar or under the dash. Have tested every wire I can see and probe on the drivers side and nothing gives me the reading that I need. Was told that the Ascender is made by GM and that it is the same as a Trailblazer and Envoy. Any tips?

here is what DEI says:
ISUZU, ASCENDER, 2004, Door Trigger
To avoid dome light delay, use the separate door trigger wires. The LF door is gray/black (-) at the driver door module in the door. The RF door is BLACK/ white (-) at the passenger door module in the door. The LR door is lt. blue/black (-), and the RR door is lt. GREEN/ black (-). The rear door trigger wires are at the fuse box under the left rear seat. Use all four wires and diode isolate each.

I was hoping to avoid doing each door separately. I have an Audiovox interface module (AVXGMDL4) for the data bus and I hooked it up to the Rattler (310D), ran a wire for the dome light trigger, reversed the polarity from + to - and hooked it up via another relay. Everything is hooked up as the diagrams and instructions say - except I am using the dome light instead of door trigger - and I did it in the order they told me as well. The locks still won't work! The alarm senses the dome light trigger because it will sound when I open the door with the alarm armed. The interface module is supposed to lock and unlock the doors, correct? There are two points that aren't addressed very well in the manuals that I think may be causing the problem:
1. Are there any other wires that I need to hook up between the interface module and the alarm other than the all-lock, driver's-unlock and all-unlock wires?
2. Is there some type of programming that I need to do to the alarm to account for the dome light delay?
Is there anything else that could be keeping the system from locking and ulocking? Everything else works fine.
