How are you able to remote start the vehicle and get in it to drive away.In simpler terms,is the remote start just used to warm/cool the car only? or can it be used to remote start the vehicle while walking in it, jump in, pop the key in and drive away. I just installed mine on a matrix 2.5x alarm, and was just wondering before i drive for the 12 minute runtime that the car will die on the highway. Wont be pretty, any ideas or settings im missing? Thanks in advance!

Remote starts generally are used to cool/warm the car, and turbo timer's in some situations. The remote start generally will shut off when you push on the brake. Also steering wheel lock requires you to use the key as well. You still need to use the key like usual.

Figured it out thanks, the manual says when the key is on the on position when entering the car, the remote start will be turned off and normal running operation will resume. Thanks =)
